We consider ourselves obliged to protect the integrity and confidentiality of the personal data transmitted to us and to treat it in accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act and the German Telemedia Act.

How do we collect personal data?

About our website

  • Website
In general, we strive not to track you when you visit our website. We do not use services such as Google Analytics, nor cookies in the main website (www.edevis.de or www.edevis.com). The log files automatically generated at the provider store your IP address and other information, but we do not use them.
  • Personalised customer areas
When you visit certain personalised areas of our website (e.g. the support portal), we use cookies to collect information about website usage, such as the type and version of browser or operating system you are using. The cookies are not used to store personal data such as your name or address data.
  • Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
  • Customer account
When you create an account at our customer portal, a profile is created with your name, company, email address and phone number, if applicable. You can delete your account at any time. This removes all personal data from the database.
  • Third party content
It may happen that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated within this online offer. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) perceive the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is thus necessary for the display of this content. We endeavor to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the content. However, we have no influence if the third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Insofar as this is known to us, we inform the users about it.
  • Use of Google-Maps
We use the “Google Maps” component of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”, on our website. Each time the “Google Maps” component is called up, Google sets a cookie in order to process user settings and data when displaying the page on which the “Google Maps” component is integrated. As a rule, this cookie is not deleted by closing the browser, but expires after a certain period of time, unless you manually delete it beforehand. If you do not agree to this processing of your data, you have the option of deactivating the “Google Maps” service and thus preventing the transfer of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the Java Script function in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use “Google Maps” or only to a limited extent.
The use of “Google Maps” and the information obtained via “Google Maps” takes place in accordance with theGoogle terms of use (external link):: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html and the additional terms and conditions for “Google Maps” (external link):  https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html
  • Use of reCAPTCHA
In order to protect input forms on our website, we use the “reCAPTCHA” service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”. The use of this service makes it possible to distinguish whether the corresponding input is of human origin or is misused through automated machine processing. To our knowledge, the referrer URL, the IP address, the behaviour of website visitors, information about the operating system, browser and length of stay, cookies, display instructions and scripts, the user’s input behaviour and mouse movements in the area of the “reCAPTCHA” checkbox are transmitted to “Google”. Google uses the information obtained in this way, among other things, to digitise books and other printed matter and to optimise services such as Google Street View and Google Maps (e.g. house number and street name recognition). The IP address transmitted as part of “reCAPTCHA” will not be merged with other Google data unless you are logged into your Google account at the time of using the “reCAPTCHA” plug-in. If you wish to prevent this transmission and storage of data about you and your behaviour on our website by “Google”, you must log out of “Google” before you visit our site or use the reCAPTCHA plug-in.
Die Nutzung des Dienstes „reCAPTCHA“ erlangten Informationen erfolgt gemäß den Google-Nutzungsbedingungen (externer Link): https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/
