Shearography

Shearography is a remote non-destructive testing method which is capable of monitoring the mechanical behavior of objects under load. It is suitable especially for the characterization of composite materials such as fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) and sandwich materials with honeycomb or foam cores. Large areas can be investigated with a single measurement. The method is used both in production and in maintenance.

Robust Interferometry

Shearography is a self-referencing speckle-interferometric testing method which can determine the path differences of two light wave fronts. Due to the special beam path, this method can capture the displacement gradient of a large area with high precision and with a much higher robustness than e.g. holography.
