How do we collect personal information

Using our website
  • Website
In general, we intend not to track you when visiting our website. We do not use services such as Google Analytics, nor cookies in the main website (www.edevis.de or www.edevis.com). The automated log-files generated by the provider store your IP address and other information that we do not use.
  • Personalized customer area
When you visit certain, personalized areas of our website (such as the Support Portal), we use cookies to collect information about your website usage, such as the type and version of the browser or operating system you are using. The cookies are not used to store personal data such as your name or address data.
  • Contact form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored in order to process the request and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent.
  • Account
If you create an account on our customer portal, a profile with your name, company, email address and, if necessary, phone number will be created. You can delete your account at any time. This removes all personal data from the database.
  • Thirdparty contents
It may happen that content from third parties, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are included in this online offer. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as "third party provider") perceive the IP address of the users. Because without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of each user. The IP address is therefore required for the presentation of this content. We endeavor to use only content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for the delivery of the content. However, we do not have any influence on this if the third parties provide the IP address e.g. save for statistical purposes. As far as we know, we will inform users about it.
  • Usage of Google-Maps
We use the "Google Maps" component of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, "Google", on our site. Each time Google Maps is called, Google sets a cookie to process user settings and data when viewing the page that has the Google Maps component integrated. This cookie is usually not deleted by closing the browser, but will expire after a certain amount of time unless it is manually deleted by you. If you disagree with the processing of your data, you may disable the "Google Maps" service and prevent the transmission of data to Google in this way. To do this, you must disable the Java Script feature in your browser. Please be aware that in this case you will not be able to use "Google Maps", or only to a limited extent.
The use of "Google Maps" and the information obtained via "Google Maps" is carried out according to the
Google Terms of Use (external link): http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html
as well as the additional terms and conditions for "Google Maps" (external link): https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html
  • reCAPTCHA
To protect entry forms on our site, we use the service "reCAPTCHA" of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereafter "Google". Through the use of this service, it can be distinguished whether the corresponding input is of human origin or abused by automated machine processing. To our knowledge, the referrer URL, the IP address, the behavior of the website visitors, information about the operating system, browser and duration, cookies, presentation instructions and scripts, the input behavior of the user and mouse movements in the "reCAPTCHA" checkbox to "Google " transfer. Among other things, Google uses this information to digitize books and other printed matter, as well as to optimize services such as Google Street View and Google Maps (eg house number and street name recognition). The IP address submitted as part of "reCAPTCHA" will not be merged with any other data provided by Google unless you are logged in to your Google Account at the time you use the "reCAPTCHA" plug-in. If you want to prevent this transmission and storage of data about you and your behavior on our website by "Google", you must log out of "Google" before you visit our site or use the reCAPTCHA plug-in.
The use of the service "reCAPTCHA" obtained information is in accordance with the Google Terms of Use (external link): https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/
